T-Shirt Design, Day 1

Time to design a t-shirt! We found the Golden Treasury of Knowledge (all 16 volumes!) at a thrift store a while ago. These came out in 1958, so they're brimming with our favorite kind of artwork. With Louis's help, we're going to scan tons of the images to use in a collage.

Here are today's scans, from Vol. 16, because it was on the top of the stack.

Here's how they look "vectorized." We'll figure out the arrangement once all the scans are done.

Kay's Terrarium

Kay made a terrarium out of a light bulb! Here you can see the clover already growing wildly.

First Hike of the Year

The weather was so nice on Friday that we went on a hike at Lumpy Ridge, on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. The parking lot is outside of the park, so it's free, but the trail actually crosses into the park. Cool!

Mixing a New Song

My PC went wild, back to nature, so I'm mixing on my netbook, on my couch, connected to a giant screen. We're making a song about Switzerland for Indiecater's World Cup Soundtrack. This is the first time all eight of us have recorded on a song, and my first time using Ableton. Love love love. My mouse is also very responsive to the orange blanket draped over the couch. You should try it!

Austin, a Dream Come True

Our first night in Austin, exploring the woods near Dusty's apartment.

The next day we played 3 shows, made friends, super great. TwoSyllable // Transparent // Spokesbuzz // Weekly Tape Deck // Friendship Bracelet // Weed Diamond // Todde English Spelling Bee // The Non // Jenn De La Vega // Teenage Cool Kids

Finally met Brian and Zach in real life (IRL) at the TwoSyllable / Transparent party and gave them the gift baskets! They are sooooooo cool and nice, good vibrations all around.

Watched a ferocious possum, Jon saved the day at the Woodsist Showcase, Wesley had his Best Day Ever, and we DROVE PAST BILL MURRAY on our way out of downtown.

Riley took the first train to Dreamland.

The rest of us got our WiFi fix.
